TulAmmo is backed by a legacy of over 140 years, tracing its origins to two of the largest ammunition manufacturers in the world: The Tula Cartridge Works and The Ulyanovsk Cartridge Works.
Established in 1880 by order of Emperor Alexander II, The Tula Cartridge Works quickly became a key supplier for the Russian military, producing over 30 million cartridges annually by 1882.
It supplied more than 25% of all ammunition used by the Russian Army during World War I and played a significant role in supplying the Red Army during World War II.
The Ulyanovsk Cartridge Works was founded in 1916 in the town of Simbirsk (now Ulyanovsk) to meet the growing demands for ammunition.
By the end of World War I, the factory had produced over 350 million cartridges, and during World War II, it supplied every third cartridge used by the Red Army.
